I agree this must be a thing. Because when I think of myself, I would totally become that begging German guy if that’s what I thought could make people feel sorry enough for me to spare my life or let me stay in their country
Now if they spared my life I’ve thought about it and I would have to refuse going back into circulation. Even if it meant death or prison. I couldn’t live with myself if I was spared by the enemy only to go right back out and kill them a few days later. I have some god damn honor. And I’d say fuck you to any Germans trying to make me all the way to the gallows
