Guys we just crossed streams into like the warhamer 40k timeline.

I’m just wracking my brain trying to understand a scenario where taking in tens to hundreds of thousands of people who probably can’t do much in terms of skilled labor is beneficial. And the reasons why they can’t do much is that most people who were actually high skilled labor could afford to get the hell out of there before the bombs started flying, if not years ago. And even if the person could do like computer programming, it’s like “ok well I’m not up to date on my coding languages because I’ve been getting the living shit bombed out of me for the past year”
So what is the benefit aside from a slave class? Sure SOME low skill workers, a little at a time, might be beneficial. They still would need a cheap place to stay and basic needs met. But in time their avacado store or whatever it was might make enough to fund a tiny little apartment for them
But that’s a little at a time. Not thousands at once. That’s always been the damn problem with migration. It’s never a small stream. It’s always a shitload, and when world events happen it’s a shitload all at once
Like I said, anyone saying they truly want them is either as a slave underclass or they’re lying to sound virtuous
