Honestly I could respect that argument coming from the country having their criminals returned if they said what you just said. Instead it's like "no we will not accept these people who we totally think are great because it's really YOU who are the bad guy trying to protect your own people from our criminals." or some horseshit sophistry like that.
Once they start saying "nah we don't want our own horrible criminals back" in something like those words, I'll be on their side.
