it took 25 years to turn china from a literal 3rd world hell with more mass deaths from starvation than any country in history... to arguably one of the most powerful countries in the world.
I would much rather live through 25 years of doing that to america, than filling the streets with homeless drug addicts and unemployed coders.
We. Need. Jobs.
We are not some divine species that is too good to do labor, so we need people from 3rd world counties to do it.
