Why is the dem pitch always "don't vote for republicans, all they wanna do is cut taxes on the rich!"? For one thing, tons of dems are filthy rich as well, but for some reason they're the good kind?
Not to mention, the obvious follow up question from a prospective voter would be "Okay, so if I vote for you are you gonna cut *my* taxes instead?" to which the response is inevitably "Uhh... well no. In fact we'll probably raise them gradually over time. But at least we aren't cutting them for the rrrrrrrrrich!!".
Talk about people falling for shit. NYS is nearly entirely governed by democrats and property taxes are so high people are fleeing in droves. They can't afford to continue living in houses that have been in families for generations, due to higher and higher taxation.
