Did America get that upgraded self checkout shit yet? If you don't do the scan thing it flags an employee to come and investigate an action replay on the screen of what you did.
I was trying to scan a gift card barcode for someone and it involved peeling back a paper strip. Needless to say I screwed it up and left part of it covered so it wouldn't scan. I put it on a display next to the checkout (not in the scanned area) and everything shut down
