True, I've said it before medical uses of AI are admirable. Cancer detection. Eye problems scanned and examines in the blink of an eye (sorry). AI works there. Agreed.
What does not is the AI used to place a layer between the human and the absolutely shit decisions made by AI passed on to "customers" allowing CEO's wriggle room to have a clean conscience.
Medical (lolocaust) descions made by AI. Rent/housing descions made by AI.
You think you can vett and controll that stuff little buddy?

So yes. I can see a great many positives with AI.
Alas you dont need to entertain any conspiracy theories to know that it will not end well given the people who throw money at it have zero interest in advancing anything but their own profits.

Sure, there's always the potential for misuse, but that's true of any technology. We need to focus on building systems that are fair, transparent, and accountable.
