Philosophy yes, but in actual practice this would take our country back to 1787. The US government basically wouldn't be able to pay for anything. Sure taxes would be low and we'd have a balanced budget but there would be no regulation on the markets, hardly any truly maintained roads, no healthcare, no subsidies (sp).

In theory yes, in practice people would probably actually die because of it.
I live in Illinois and we pay tolls everyday all day for our roads. Our healthcare is basically non existent to average working American that deserves it. I'm only 25 years old, there will be no medicare or medicaid or social security left for me to retire. As far as regulation on markets? Like the NAFTA agreement that allows every other country to import their cheaply made shit to this country, stealing domestic jobs and profits? Hmmm....Vote for Ron Paul....vote for Pedro....vote for anyone who is not getting the media attention they deserve. The only reason Ron ain't gettin the media attention is because his policies don't line the pockets of the higher ups at FOX, NBC, etc.

And in all honesty, you shouldn't vote, your vote doesn't count for shit, they will tell you it does, but think about it....for every educated american that votes there are atleast five uneducated and ignorant sons of bitches that will push for whatever side TV has convinced them is better.

Maybe we should all grab some gasoline and bottles and get to looting and rioting like our British brothers?

Vote Green!! Vote Ventura!! Vote Paroe! Vote for anyone who isn't already getting straight paid from our hard work!
(Just some food for thought)
