Some folks were talking about Enc/Enc/Enc/Clr as the best group.

I understand the DPS, but it seems squishy.

Would it not make more sense to have a druid in that mix? Symbol + Aegis + PotG is pretty nice as a stack. Add in Thorns for some extra DPS and Regen, hooray you. Snare is always nice too if the mob is a runner, although I run DE Cleric and use the Snare Clicky Neck. You'd also get some spot heals and someone who can quickly grab pet break aggro if things start to slide.

I can see why no melee classes, but Druid (or even Shaman due to Malo) seems like a better fit than the 3rd Enc in the line-up if you are hoping to avoid losing people. Maybe the suggestion just implies a random Enc will fall and the others can cover during Rez Effects?

My experience is only duo'ing with chanter on my 60 Cleric and 60 Druid (using Duel), I don't play chanters directly, so my knwloedge is limited.
