Talk to the monk guildmaster and spend 1 skill point in Sense Heading. Whenever you get a new skill as you level, make sure you train it in Cabilis to activate it.
Make sure your Iksar crew checks out Crypt of Dalnir during the leveling journey (28-36 probably). You can sneak down there with feign death and loot some crescent armor for the monk, but it's also full of Necro loot too and a cool dungeon to explore.
