A couple things to note. First off, these forums have a certain ... character to them. The game itself has a markedly
different character to it, so don't let the forums intimidate you (some of the worst posters here don't even play anymore, they just hang around and spread negativity).
Second, be sure to check out
the wiki. It's our version of Allakhazam, all of the class sites, EQ Traders, EQ Atlas, etc. It also includes a Magelo feature (a way to profile your character outside the game, or see the profiles of other characters to get gearing ideas), an auction tracker (which gives you a rough idea about how much it will cost to buy something from another player), and tons of helpful
guides.
