I never took stats, but by math that's 0.86 * 0.86 * 0.86 * ... well, to cut to the chase, 0/86 ^ 50 =0.00053079, or 0.053079%.

Now, I have no idea how many Soulfires are done each year (certainly less now that they're Paladin only). Let's call it a hundred because that makes my math easy.

The chance that 1 in 100 get the bad run you had is something like a 5%. In other words, the RNG is evil sometimes, and it's not unreasonable that one unlucky soul like yourself would have such bad luck ... but there's also a decent chance th wiki's 14% number is too high.
