As a frequent EQ live data miner I never want them to do anything to the older zones. No events, no new mobs, etc. My greatest fear is some dev would want to do some sweeping revamp of everything to generate new interest in old content for an anniversary and then all that preserved history is lost.
So i'm glad they have done nothing.
