I knew how Bill was going to view the conflict. Ever since the movie Religiosity the man has made no secret his disdain for those that oppress people with religious fundamentalism. He just doesn’t vacillate on the topic out of a sense of tribalism like so many do. If you’re against it, you’re against it everywhere
Still can’t get over my hardcore progressive leftist friend’s brain getting tangled in knots saying “well, some cultures don’t mind being [religiously] oppressed”. Like what? Howwww? Like the trick is you just have to wait a few generations of doing it until people think it’s the only way to live? Just say you support Muslim religious fundamentalists only because tribalism. Trying to explain “well it’s ok for these people here, but not these people over here” just sounds crazy
