i'd like to ask in good faith, what positions do you hold on modern culture / policy that you believe make you a liberal? that set you apart from someone who would consider themselves a conservative?
you do claim it a lot in your posts, but that often is a sign of someone acting in bad faith/trolling, but i'd like to give you the benefit of the doubt since you have been respectul (to me) on the forums
with that said, i am a very "far lefty" but i actually know how to get along with people for the most part -- probably because i am confident in my beliefs, and i find it a waste of my limited free time to argue with strangers online, or even worse, try to change their minds (although occasionally i am guilty in getting caught up in some garbage)

I appreciate your curiosity. I admire those that display it regardless of political background. If I had to guess you might be old school far lefty compared to the modern Gen Y and Gen Z version, but could be wrong. It's not even clear the venn diagram of those two groups overlap.
The best way to indicate an answer to you is how I vote. Glad Biden won and have been happy with his performance if I'm a bit worried about his age. Went to public school my whole life as well as a public university for college during a particular era so that inculcated a version of history that could only be described as liberal.
Supporter of 2nd wave Feminism. Have some reservations of 3rd wave Feminism. Supporter of Women's right to choose at the national level. Saddened there isn't courage to make this codified into law. I want a world where women can do whatever they like without being told they can't because of their sex.
I doubt conservatives know the distinction between 2nd and 3rd wave feminism.
I'd say that's enough to answer your question without writing a whole selfie political profile. I have written enough on these boards consistently for my political beliefs to be honed in on if you pay attention. I have been attacked from every political stripe on these boards, which is what happens if you are near the liberal middle with the capacity for empathy who wants to maximize the usefulness of Govt to 80% or 90% of people instead of the special interests, anti-bipartisanship, and extreme elites on both sides.
I appreciate your ability to get along and suggest your curiosity is unique amongst those who I have met in real life that call themself far lefty. There has been a shift in my lifetime seemingly in the last 20-25 years where being a far lefty changed from having meant being pro-peace at one point and now it means post-modern ends justify the means anything goes to generate far left only outcomes.
To me these tactics are regressive and I call them out as such. I find those strategies acted out set back the movement of progress by turning those with empathy against it.
