I know of no religion whose doctrine contains the statement, "But make sure you check out religion X, they are even better than we are."
Every religion teaches supremacy. That is what religion is. Life used to be really hard and people are really stupid. How can you organize these idiots?
Religion is at best childish. A child says, "You are the prettiest mom in the whole world," and it's just child babble. And the mom says, and you are the prettiest baby. Harmless.
In order to even get an ego off the ground, you have to feed it a LOT of undeserved praise.
