I have a co-worker who had parents who made less money than mine, who went to a worse elementary and high school as me in podunk-ville, who chose to get a better education, has a higher salary, chose to rent out his first condo to use the payments towards his new mortgage, making his new mortgage basically free, who has less debt + around $200k in savings accounts in online banks with great interest rates + stonks

Smarter person made better choices, simple as that
