Americans Moved to Low-Tax States in 2022
This population shift paints a clear picture: people left high-tax, high-cost states for lower-tax, lower-cost alternatives.
Oops. I guess they'll have to keep raising taxes to make up for the shortfall. But of course then more people will move. But just raise taxes again. I'm sure that'll work out just fine.
Idiots hahaha.

People who can't hack it in expensive, competitive places where go-getters congregate have to move to cheap shitholes? You don't say.
That said, California has a cost of living crisis, driven by NIMBYism, high taxes, and waste (it's more NIMBYism and red tape than taxes, but acknowledging this would require nuanced and non-tribal thinking on your part). But you're so desperate to view California as a shithole and taxes as bad that you come to the wrong conclusion. People aren't moving to these places because they are better, they are moving there because California isn't offering them enough,
them specifically.
When the pole of economic dynamism shifts outside California, then you can say it's irredeemable. Europe got by just fine after dumping all its poor people in the New World.
