I still don't understand why the covid vax discussion has to be so insipidly stupid and juvenile.
Old people should get it. People with compromised immune systems should get it. Young healthy people might be assuming more risk than the reward the vaccines provide, given their rapid development and extremely short-term data set. We don't know if they are safe ten years after administration, because they haven't existed for ten years yet. This is not "anti-vax", it's a common sense reading of the available data.
Not all vaccines are the same. The MMR shot was rigorously tested and developed over years before being used broadly. The covid vaccines were rapidly developed and rushed out the door under emergency use authorization (IE bypassing or curtailing most of the normal clinical procedures for safety and efficacy). Some people are understandably concerned by that fact.
You don't have to froth at the mouth and yell "antivaxxxorrrr!!" every time somebody expresses even mild skepticism of these still-experimental covid shots.
