Also, if we are comparing breast augmentation to breast removal, I personally don’t see why a kid should be allowed either before 18
But let’s pretend that breast augmentation WAS illegal for minors. Parent permission wouldn’t change that. If a kid gave the impression (and a lot of people communicate being suicidal or have minor attempts first) that they were suicidal because they couldn’t get a breast augmentation, the parent and doctors wouldn’t say “oh in that case, sure you can get whatever size boobs you want”, they would just hospitalize the kid in a psych hospital to keep them safe and transition them back home with extra supervision and security measures in place
But for something far more risky and costly than breast augmentation, which is the complete removal of the organ, the medical community has decided, “if you leverage your suicidality, we will give in on this. And we might even give in someday without your parent even ever knowing”
