I was talking to a group of parents at work during a CISD and the topic came up about why parents aren’t comfortable letting their kids play outside nowadays versus when we were kids

The consensus amongst the parents was they were too worried about abductions. I asked if these are occurring more frequently or is it just with our ability to get national news more readily than when we were kids is skewing our perception that it is happening more often

Then consensus was then it was probably not a significantly increased rate, but just much more awareness of the cases via internet and social media

Not a sophisticated Hollywood sex ring or a priest, personally I suspect that a random pedo is a bigger danger to your kids
