Honestly, if you get addicted to this, you probably have an addictive personality problem. You run away from this, but sooner or later, you'll get stuck on something else. It's just what seems to happen. But some things are better to get addicted to than others. That's for sure. Ever seen somebody addicted hardcore to meth? It destroys you physically. Not all drugs are equal in how hard they hit the user and how fast it happens. For example, tobacco smoking is the #1 quickest and most addictive drug, even more than the other commonly illegal ones that're out there. Ask most people, and they won't know that. They think cocaine, meth, pot, etc - because that's what MSM tells them. And we do know that some people are susceptible.

Insofar as computer games are concerned, they hijack our natural impulses to achieve by tricking our mind and evading its defenses. Think about this carefully... Instead of milking the cattle, putting up a fence, hunting for meat and furs, farming, fishing, making friends and so on like we've been doing for thousands of years, some of us are doing it online instead and our brain isn't equipped well enough (remember: only some of us) to see the difference between the two. Like a fat person that eats to feel better and can't seem to lose the weight for their livelihood, computer addicts can't seem to pull themselves away to achieve things the right way.

Our brain, our body, have evolved to particular circumstances for thousands and millions of years. The brain did not anticipate computers, or the internet, or this lifestyle, or machines, or TV, or the printing press. What we're experiencing is a rapid change in circumstances and it has led to a lot of societal and personal problems. Our body and mind thinks the 21st century is no different than 30,000 B.C, and that's the problem.

To win you must take conscious control of your life. If you're suscpetible, you will have to try harder and probably will have to fight the temptation the rest of your life, barring any medical advances.
