From the bill:
3011. (a) In making a determination of the best interests of the child in a proceeding described in Section 3021, the court shall, among any other factors it finds relevant and consistent with Section 3020, consider all of the following:
(1) (A) The health, safety, and welfare of the child.
(B) As used in this paragraph, the health, safety, and welfare of the child includes a parentĀ’s affirmation of the childĀ’s gender identity.
So if the parent doesn't affirm a mentally ill kids gender identity, the state can and will take your kid.
Here is a fun read about how successful the state was at "helping" this poor girl. That story should rip your heart out.

I get it why Baler would have fallen for the misinformation but OMG did you even research your linked article? Of course the Washington Examiner would skew the real story.

Entering foster care at 15 and later returned to the family at 19.
“Andrew [Yaeli’s trans name] M.’s death must be met with urgency to provide youth, including transition-age youth in foster care, identified as LGBTQ+ with support and resources to live proud, productive, happy lives,” reads a motion proposed by Los Angeles County supervisors Hilda Solis and Sheila Kuehl. Solis and Kuehl pledged to “create and implement prevention and intervention services that minimize family rejection when such services are necessary.”
The implication, which conveniently absolves them of all accountability, is that Yaeli’s family is the reason she killed herself.

So you thought it was the transition that killed the troubled child now adult? What ?! Really?
The family they went back to rejected them.
Note that was all in California.
The FL law was never really about protecting children it was introducing a path to go after all transgender’s rights in FL. Which DeSantis desperately tried too.

FL is suffering from many of DeSantis’s bad ideas and posturing.
