Let's mix it up. Let's sub in the word "dog speech" for both free speech and hate speech. Can dogs bark? Yes. Will they? Yes, usually. Is it wrong to try to beat a dog so it does not bark?

What if the dog is harmless, barely barks, no one is even complaining, just the owner wants a silent dog?
