Hygiene is my personal fave. Every society has hygiene codes of some form or another. Dear lord, plenty (but not all) animals do hygiene rituals. It's one of our more primal investitures.

Dieting is a form of body modification. As you age, wearing jeans becomes a form of body modification. You develop a gut. If you wore proper pants with suspenders, you would likely have better digestion. But people would think you are strange and shun you.
