You pay into private insurance, yes? Most people never use an amount of medical care equal to the dollar amount that pay into private insurance via work or whatever else. All that money, pissed away on nothing. And on top of it, not everything is fully covered.
Now, imagine your taxes, that you're already paying, being used for healthcare for everyone that fully covers all non-elective medical procedures. And with everyone 'paying into' the same healthcare fund, we can abolish private insurance and get rid of that headache for everyone.
So, if you wanna go ahead and defend paying more for less actual healthcare, go right the fuck ahead. But you'd just be proving the point that policy means nothing to the right, and for the past decade or so, it's all just been about doing the opposite of the other side out of childish spite.
