it doesn't matter if the ghost of kiev was real or not, it's a symbol that helped to unite a nation that nobody believed in.
regardless of whatever 'globohobo' forces are behind this war, the average ukrainian citizen is innocent in this conflict and he is fighting for not only his right to live, but that of his family and friends. These people aren't fighting for global influence or prestige, they are fighting for the lands they rightfully call home. the vast majority of them just want to go home and move on with life. but they can't, because their homes were blown the fuck up, So now they have to fight for the right to rebuild their homes on land that was stolen for reasons that have nothing to do with themselves.
and there isn't anything more to it.
I applaud these ukrainian soldiers, They are facing reality and they are united in their purpose, "We didn't start this war, but we will finish it, come hell or high water"
