I'm pretty much timing out everytime I try to enter a zone. Usually I try to log in, hit enter world with a char, and it hangs until EQ dies. The one time I've managed to get in, I was fine until I tried to zone, then timed out again. Is this typical?

I have a fresh titanium install except with the 2 downloads required for P99, dual core but set the core affinity to one when I launch EQ. I was just messing around on red69 with absolutely no problems, and it really seems to be a connectivity issue. However, the server pop is at ~500 right now and I've seen it higher every night, so surely hundreds of people aren't playing and unable to zone and barely able to log in... Right?

Ok, I reinstalled and used duxa's whatever thing this time around, and things seem ok. However, when I click on one of the smithing things, I get instantly disconnected from the server. Working as designed?

Google WinEQ2, install and run that. It should help with the problem.
