Corporate entities are one of the main "instruments" by which capital gets allocated, invested, distributed wisely. A corporation is going to have to meet certain standards of financial transparency precisely because, the investor class likes to make sure its investment capital is not being squandered. The corporation is the cornerstone of modern capitalism, not the tycoon. Those days are gone with top hats.
So your view is the government is currently mostly in thrall to corporate interests, which means a capitalist economic system in one of its bedrock forms. As you say "this is a whole different story," and I would say so. But where do these "real leftist communist goofballs" come from?
