Post How To: Full-Screen Windowed Mode

Sick of playing EQ in a window? I was too, and I found a fix. Follow these steps and you can play EQ in "full screen" with any resolution and any amount of monitors.

0. Ensure you are not using WinEQ (duh).

1. You will need a program named Fullscreenizer which you can find here (Note: You will want the Binary option listed) - download and install this.

2. Open your P99 / EQ Titanium directory and locate the file named eqclient.ini

3. Right click the eqclient.ini and make a copy of this file as a backup somewhere.

4. Right click the eqclient.ini in your P99 directory again, then open the file with a text editor such as Notepad.

5. Locate the following values and ensure they are set as follows:

• WindowedMode=TRUE
• WindowedWidth=<YOUR NATIVE DESKTOP WIDTH>
• WindowedHeight=<YOUR NATIVE DESKTOP WIDTH>

For example, if you use 1920x1080, set WindowedWidth=1920 &&&& WindowedHeight=1080

6. Once you have made these changes click SAVE to save them. You can now close eqclient.ini

7. Right-click the Fullscreenizer program shortcut, go to Properties, click the Compatibility tab, then check the 'Run this program as an administrator option' - this is IMPORTANT as the program will not function unless run as admin.

8. Run Launch Titanium.bat (or however else you launch EQ) - Your screen is going to look off place at first, but that is ok- simply move the screen for now so you can see it well enough to log in.

9. Fully log into P99 to character select.

10. While at character select alt+tab to Fullscreenizer, click the Refresh button at the bottom, then select EverQuest from the list. With EverQuest selected, click the Fullscreenize button.

11. Voilą! Full screen EQ without the jank! On a side note, you'll need to continue to run this program along side EQ whenever you want to use full-screen mode.

PLEASE NOTE: These settings DO NOT impact UI size! If you use a 4k resolution and the UI looks tiny your only fix is going to be to use a custom UI designed for your screen resolution - EQ does NOT scale UI!

If you are not satisfied with the results simply uninstall Fullscreenizer then replace your current eqclient.ini file with the copy you created in step 3.

Cheers!
