yeah that seems like its the plan

maybe the illuminati have like this rotating power agreement, where each of the 13 families have a decided number of centuries where they will be strong, then relinquish power to the next family when it becomes their turn.

certainly would explain how global influence changes hands ever few centuries like clockwork.
