I dunno, while it can happen that a kid from a dysfunctional broken home can decide to make adult responsible decisions and study due to positive influence from a role model, that scenario is pretty rare due to the way trauma affects a developing brain
If the household is fucked up, the kid’s gonna be fucked up. An hour after school listening to teacher about the importance of studying I don’t see fixing a lot. But that’s just me, I get kinda cynical
