If not, Wis and Cha are fairly worthless for a mage I believe in BG unless you make them more valuable with a mod. You can put a bard on the team or use another NPC mage with decent wis/int if you like high lore auto-identifies without having to rest over and over to ID stuff. Dex I think you can get set to 18 with some gloves from the gnoll fortress.
