Rejecting or breaking it off is like firing someone, it sucks. The best approach is just to rip that bandaid off and be honest, but I understand the desire to do something stupid to push them away instead, it can result in less confrontation than saying “sorry I’m just not that into you”. Doing something stupid gets them asking what’s wrong with you. Rejecting them gets them thinking what’s wrong with them
But I still say honesty is the best policy

ah thanks for the behavioral health expert opinion on the matter you brought up a good point
i have on a few occasions pulled the, "Im a fuckin crazy psycho asshole" instead of saying, "I met someone hotter than you, and was only with you for a regular fuck"
so i am an asshole, that doesn't want to hurt people. I'm totally cool with being the bad guy if it can spare the feelings of another.
of course sometimes, im the bad guy out of necessity.
