pole flip will cause some weird shit to happen and some folks are gonna get sun burnt and alot of crops will suffer, but i haven't read anything conclusive to suggest pole flips are extinction events.
many satellites will fail when the magnetosphere weakens, many ground based electronics too.

I think they did this study to justify builind NORAD, becuase it seems like the optimal place to survive (this cool pole flip theory) is Colorado rockeys on the eastern side... or maybe they built used norad to justify building something for
this!
