So Archery does more damage if the delay on your weapon is higher?

Archery benefits from the damage bonus of your primary hand.
Damage bonus for two handed weapons is dependant on the weapon's delay.
If you have a very slow 2 handed weaponin your primary, then damage bonus is higher (so your your minimum hit, max hit and everything in between) for archery will also be increased.
In theory this shouldn't be applicable until like 27ish when damage bonus starts to be added.
