in 9th grade we read "things fall apart" by chinua achebe- one of my friends was reading aloud to the class when he got to a part that mentioned the river niger. Not realizing that its pronounced n-eye-ger, he read it as blah blah blah the river ******. everyone, teacher included, cracked up. was p lol
