Unfortunately even if OP apps to kingdom or any raid guild and gets accepted, he'll quickly realize that he's still gonna be passed over within his own guild unless he poopsocks and clique's up. Seemingly every guild on green now has the same pitch: "Join us cause it's totally laid back but also raid friendly" blah blah. We all know the people who are on discord and in game 24\7 are treated differently than the warm bodies.

But that's the beauty of DKP guilds: the hardcore players get enough DKP to deck their third alt out in Vulak gear ... while all the more casual players play a lot less, slowly save up DKP, and buy something cool for themselves every so often. Both pay the same price for everything: the hardcore people don't get special discounts or anything.
In either case though, you can be as hardcore, or as softcore, as you want. I mean, sure, if you're Mage wanting an epic, you'll probably have to track Hate. But for everything else, it's simply a matter of being online and showing up to whatever mob someone else tracked.
