It's funny you guys post this because I was thinking about this all night last night. There was a show where this lady had to give birth and I'm like Jesus these guys are sci fi why not just clone the runt in a vat, going thru this all natural seemed out of place for tech level of the show itself. Like they wouldn't even let her have a natural baby with nanomachines and replicators and genetic engineering and shit.
The ultimate form of efficiency is producing soldiers and drones fully formed and ready to go.
Also like sex is icky so u could have babies without having to really have biological sex with ppl and risk herpes and shit.
