First of all, learn
/who dial all. At most times you can find a porter willing to take you between continents
much more quickly. You'll have to donate a few plat, but porters expect less from lower-level characters, and whatever you pay will be worth it to save the boat time.

Third ... why not solo CoM while waiting for a group? Alternatively, you could also run over to TT and kill the ghosts in the ruins (I think if you're CoM level they should be blue to you).

Either way you can check for groups or duo/trio partners, even if you are in TT, with /who all cityofmist.
