Watched all eight episodes of 1899 yesterday. It gets a C+. It's got a lot of tropes in it, but some of them are used in a moderately clever fashion.
I kept wondering, since like everyone on the boat speaks different languages and can't really talk directly to each other very well, if most of their bad television character decisions were due to simple miscommunication.
