The good news is that the staff will
probably (I can't speak for them) recover the character. The bad news is that it might take awhile ... worst case scenario, we could be talking
months.
So, whether you petition or not, mentally you should probably write that "pp and suff" off, because even if it is recovered it may not be anytime soon.
