Did you set the auction or other text to a window too small by accident? If the client tries to write to a window that's set too small it will crash.
Delete or rename that char's ui file so the window positions reset. Or, edit eqclient.ini and turn off whatever text you were messing with - auctions > hide or whatever, and then fix your window when you log in and turn it back on.
