Bad ideas need to be dragged into the light and destroyed there, not pushed underground IMO. I have no problem being around a Qanon and telling them that I don’t think their ideas are realistic, especially on an online anonymous forum like this. Discussing Qanon politics with a drunk friend of the family at my cousin’s wedding was not the time or place which is why I shut it down. But online I have no problem with. I think most people prefer to stay in their bubbles in general even online and we are all actually worse off for it
