Regardless of whatever, if you want to go figure out who they are, just...go look it up? EQ saves literally all of your logs, it'll have timestamps of every line of text you've seen in the game.
Go to your p99 install directory, logs, character name log file, search for "flowing black silk sash" since it shows up when they put it in the trade window, and you'll know exactly who gave it to you.

I just tried this but the only thing in there is a file named dbg.txt and it is not very long. I don't see any text even from the group I was just in an hour ago. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Honestly these forums are cruel, all I've wanted to do is whatever I can to do the right thing and I am just being shit on for it.
