I had a pharmacist boomer friend who would just take pills out of bottles and eat them whenever. I ran out of a script and he just had me hand him the empty bottle and he refilled it.
He was grandfathered in so he just did whatever he wanted, great attitude and we did a lot of hiking trips together.
He was a great guy and unfortunately died in Hawaii floating on a boogie board. Broke his neck , paraplegic, then in California they neglected him so he ended up looking like a t-rex.
Pharmacists are experts of drug interactions and have a great general knowledge of biology.
