Droplets are quick to fall and hit the ground. Aerosol is what lingers and what everyone was freaking out about in airplanes, cars, transit.
Droplets are not an issue unless face to face in close proximity or licking your hands constantly touching things.
If we are going to argue for masks, then
goggles should be required as well.
Its all just a comfort thing. Masks are designed to stop spittle, hair, teeth, food, and other shit from falling into wounds when learning over a subject. They are not designed to stop aerosol and are not a panacea for pandemics.
