Yeah the problem with that plan is people usually have to show empathy before receiving it, basically.
The majority of the press is never going to side with conservatives. Not because of bias in and of itself, but because the ideas just aren’t popular. It’s similar to why I don’t actually debate alt-right dudes, debating them implies their ideas are being taken seriously. And why the Daily Wire types bend over backwards to sell their donors on them being good at debate, despite running from every real debate they’ve ever tried.
There is a reason the white supremacist types don’t just say they are racists, usually. They have adjusted their tactics, and learned to cache their beliefs in more careful words. Jordan Peterson excels at this.
For this reason, I think the fascism is taking longer to build than it did in Germany, Italy, Spain, or Japan. The Information Age also makes their task more difficult, that’s usually manifesting in the conservative struggles with their representation on social media.
But this form of American fascism is more insidious and clever than the Nazi version.
