There wasn't much live coverage of the areas hit the worst, so yeah you might turn on the news or a live feed and see a stop sign blowing around.
I'm hearing the Fort Myers area is completely screwed. Sarasota and Tampa were spared but Fort Myers and Naples areas were screwed.
