I hear about dissenting opinions all the time. Usually they're in the dissent for a reason -- they are fucking stupid.
Whackos in the scientific community get shit on by their peers. It's part of the process and rightfully so.
I can also point out examples of the government following the lead of dissenting opinions and fucking things up for years. For example jumping on the low fat bandwagon based on, predominately, the flawed research of one expert and ignoring what most people in the medical community knew.
The problem with Trumptards is that their whackos become "dissenters" when said whacko's nutty theories align with the Trumptard's politics.
